Children
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd: 9:15am
- Good Shepherd Atrium – ages 3 to 5
- The True Vine Atrium – age 6
- The Open Book Atrium – ages 7 to 11
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a hands-on exploration of the parables and sayings of Jesus. For example, the youngest children learn about the Last Supper and Baptism, while older children learn how to look up passages in the Bible and discuss them. The atrium for the oldest students explores the meaning of discipleship, crucifixion, and resurrection.

Children’s Chapel
At 10:30 am each Sunday children begin worship with their parents in church. After the prayer of the day the children gather at the back of the church and process to the children’s chapel outside the nursery. There they sing, pray, hear a lesson for the day in simple language, share their ideas, and express their thoughts in artwork. They can place an offering of quarters in the peace pipe, which, when filled, buys animals for families in need through Heifer International. Childen rejoin their parents for Communion during the Peace.
Nurseries for Infants and Children
The nurseries are located off the gallery on the right as you enter the building from the parking lot. They are available on Sunday mornings from 8 am until the conclusion of the 10:30 am Eucharist, from 6:00 pm on Sunday nights until the conclusion of Compline, and during special events. Our care givers are conscientious and create a safe, inviting enviroment for infants and toddlers, where they can interact and spend time in a loving community. Arrangements can be made for older children when needed. Parents sign their children in and out of the nursery, and generally leave a cell phone number at which they can be reached.
