Groups & Gatherings
Christ Church Moms – First Wednesday of each month, 5:30 – 7:00 pm
Christ Church moms are invited to a monthly gathering for a chance to offer mutual support, connect about the spirituality of motherhood, and swap information. New moms and moms with small children are especially encouraged to participate, but all moms are welcome. The meetings are informal and confidential. Snacks include the essentials of cheese, chocolate, and tea. Childcare is provided in the nursery, of course (let us know names and ages of kids who will be there). Also, we are looking for grandmothers or “seasoned” mothers in the parish who would be willing to volunteer in the nursery to help support the moms as they take a little time out for themselves. Ideas, questions, and suggestions are always welcome. Contact Kate Alexander.
Education for Ministry
This intensive weekly program is a chance to make significant growth theologically as you reflect on the Bible, church history, and the church’s various theological statements through the centuries. The University of the South has developed materials for the course. A mentor leads discussion of the materials and reflection on how each participant sees God active in his or her daily life. Tuition is $340 per year (there are partial scholarships available), and the class is limited to 12 people. This group meets from September through May. If you want to find out more about the course, visit with Sandra Scoggin or visit EfM at Sewanee.
Episcopal Church Women
All women in the Episcopal Church are members of ECW, a group that meets at least quarterly at Christ Church for dinner and lectures. ECW raises money throughout the year by selling bulbs and hosting the annual Resell It Sale to support many outreach ministries in the community. All are welcome to attend ECW events, including men.
Daughters of the King
Daughters of the King is an order for church women who feel called to make a lifetime commitment to God, in a ministry of prayer, service and evangelism. We wear the DOK cross every day as a sign of our commitment. Our chapter at Christ Church is the Advent Chapter. We meet the first Sunday of each month, pray every day, for any and all who request or need prayers and participate in an on-going outreach service project. We are part of a worldwide organization. For additional information, contact Vicki Reber, President.

Alcoholics Anonymous
Christ Church serves as the meeting place for Little Rock’s downtown Alcoholics Anonymous meetings each Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 12:00 noon. Meetings are held in the undercroft beneath the Witsell Chapel. Entry is either through the red street-level door beneath the chapel at 205 E. Capitol Avenue or by parking in the church lot and walking through the office hallway and gallery to the courtyard and then
