Green Groceries

Fresh Food For All

At Green Groceries, our mission is to strengthen our local food network while supplementing the diets of food insecure households in our community over time. We partner with the Arkansas Local Food Network (ALFN) to purchase seasonal fruits, vegetables, eggs, meat, rice, edible soybeans, and value added products like salsa and spaghetti sauce from Arkansas farmers. Buying from local family growers every other week supports our regional farming economy. With a team of volunteers, we then distribute these groceries to food insecure households in our community. It’s that simple. But the impact runs deep.

Program Basics

  • We purchase all our groceries from growers in Arkansas.

  • Green Groceries is a ministry of Christ Episcopal Church.

  • We partner with  The Arkansas Local Food Network, and referring agencies throughout Little Rock. The program has been going strong for ten years now!

  • 97% of donations go directly to food for Little Rock families in need.
