Sunday services

We offer three different worship services on Sunday, each of which is focused on the Eucharist, or what others might call Holy Communion or Mass. Everyone is invited to receive Holy Communion.

•    8 a.m. – Holy Eucharist in traditional language (Rite I in the Book of Common Prayer) and with organ music. The service lasts about 45 minutes, and is followed by breakfast in our fellowship hall for anyone who wants to eat.
•    10:30 a.m. – Holy Eucharist (Rite II in the Book of Common Prayer) with music, congregational hymns, and choir. The use of classical church music is one of the primary ways in which we worship at this service. The service lasts about an hour and is followed by coffee hour in the gallery.
•    6 p.m. – Holy Eucharist with contemporary inclusive language (from Enriching Our Worship and other resources) that lasts about 30 minutes. We encourage people to dress casually.
•    6:45 p.m. – Compline, a chanted candlelit service of evening prayers led by the Christ Church Compline Choir. The service lasts about 20 minutes.

Parking

Free parking is available in our church parking lot on the corner of Scott and 6th St. If the lot is full, street parking is available. Pay lots are available nearby; check signs for rates.

Accessible entrance

The church and parish hall are wheelchair accessible. Please enter using the door by the parking lot. If you would like communion brought to you during the service, please tell an usher.

Nursery Care on Sundays

We offer loving childcare in our nursery on Sundays from 7:45 am until noon for children between 6 weeks and 7 years of age. Childcare is also available on Sundays nights from 5:45 until 7:00 pm, and during other evening church services throughout the year. The nursery has a changing table, crib, rockers, toys and books, private bathroom, sink, and refrigerator. Please let us know when you arrive if you have any questions about the nursery or children’s program. The nursery is located near the entrance by the parking lot. Please know that we always welcome children in the church during services. In addition, there is a children’s chapel service during the 10:30 Sunday service.

Tell us you’re visiting

We want to know you’re here! Please feel free to fill out a visitor card available in the pews or to sign our guest book. We’d like to tell you more about Christ Church and get to know you as well. Ushers, greeters, and members of the clergy are available near the front door of the church before and after services to say hello and answer any questions. Upcoming events are listed in the order of service, and in our parish newsletter, available in the foyer. Let us know if you’d like to receive our weekly e-news and other publications to find out more about Christ Church happenings.
