As part of the Arkansas Literary Festival, author Amy Peterson will read from and discuss her latest book Where Goodness Still Grows: Reclaiming Virtue in an Age of Hypocrisy. In the book Peterson, a Little Rock native now studying for the priesthood at Duke, seeks to challenge the hijacking of virtue by the “Religious Right.” Instead, Peterson works to “reimagine virtue as a tool, not a weapon; as wild, not tame; as embodied, not written.” Peterson will also be preaching at Christ Church on Sunday, April 26 at the 10:30 a.m. service. Copies of Peterson’s book will be available at Wordsworth Books (501.663.9198) prior to the festival and books will be available on-site the day of the event. A book signing will follow the reading.
