the Rev. Dr. Kate Alexander, Rector
Kate began her ministry at Christ Church as curate in 2007, and has served as rector since 2018. Her primary role is caring for Christ Church in all of it’s faithful, interesting complexity, as well as leading the congregation into a vibrant future in downtown Little Rock. A west coast native who now happily calls Arkansas home, Kate attended Mills College in Oakland, California, Harvard Divinity School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California, where she completed a Ph.D. in systematic theology. She is married to the Rev. Dr. Jason Alexander, who serves as canon to the ordinary. Together they keep joyfully busy with two ministries, three teenagers, three cats, and one golden retriever.
The Rev. Hannah Hooker, Associate Rector
Hannah has served as an associate rector at Christ Church since 2018. In addition to the preaching and pastoral care she shares with her clergy colleagues, Hannah helps facilitate our sacramental life, planning worship and coordinating baptisms, weddings, and confirmation. She has also undertaken extensive research into the history of Christ Church and helps maintain its archives. Born and raised in central Arkansas, Hannah attended Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, and Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria, Virginia. She was ordained in 2016 and came to us from St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Jonesboro, Arkansas. In her free time, Hannah enjoys traveling to visit friends and family, home renovation projects, and walking with her dog, Abel.
The Rev. Ragan Sutterfield, Associate Rector
Ragan has served as an associate rector at Christ Church since 2017. In addition to the preaching, pastoral care, and liturgical leadership, Ragan facilitates adult Christian formation and community connections. A Little Rock native, Ragan is a graduate of Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria, Virginia. Ragan previously served as curate at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church in Little Rock. An avid birder, Ragan seeks to live the good life with his wife Emily and their two daughters
