Thursdays in September at 6 PM, Allsopp Park (gather by the traffic circle near the bathrooms).
This September, in celebration of the “Season of Creation,” we will hold weekly gatherings to pray, worship, and learn together how to live into this ecological moment. Drawing on the land covenant traditions of our faith, we will engage in varied exercises of discipleship that takes seriously our context—the Lower-Arkansas River watershed which marks our ecological parish bounds. Gatherings will include a variety of expressions of worship including Eucharist, labyrinth building, reflection upon scripture, and contemplative walks in creation. We hope that these gatherings will help all involved deepen their discipleship in the way of Jesus in this watershed moment of ecological crisis and possibility. Bring a mask, comfortable shoes, and prepare to hike a short distance. Questions can be directed to Ragan Sutterfield (rsutterfield@christchurchlr.org).
